Annature Pricing for Mortgage Brokers 2026

Review Annature pricing, electronic signing, identity verification, audit evidence and workflow fit for an Australian mortgage brokerage.

Annature pricing uses a pay-as-you-go model for electronic signing and identity verification, with separate charges for some delivery and screening options. It suits a brokerage that wants signing and identity evidence in one service without per-user signing fees. A certificate still needs to meet the requirements of the lender or document owner receiving it.

Annature Pricing and Inclusions

Annature charges by envelope for signing and by verification for identity checks. As at October 2026, its pricing page includes unlimited documents and recipients within each signing envelope. Email reminders, unlimited users and local support are included.

Text-message delivery uses the Short Message Service (SMS) and has a separate charge.

An envelope is one transaction containing the documents sent to its recipients. Two borrowers signing several documents together can belong to one envelope. Sending separate transactions creates separate chargeable envelopes.

Annature’s subscriber agreement states that fees exclude goods and services tax (GST). Signing invoices usually follow the calendar month, with payment due within 14 days unless the invoice says otherwise. Identity-verification terms also state that fees exclude GST and invoices follow the account’s billing arrangements.

Sent envelopes can incur charges even if a recipient declines, delivery fails or the sender voids the transaction. The cost model therefore depends on sends, not only successfully completed files. The pricing page directs businesses sending more than 100 envelopes a year to its sales quote form.

Unlimited signing recipients and users do not make identity checks or SMS free. Optional screening and enterprise implementation belong in the commercial agreement. Application programming interface (API) development also creates implementation work beyond ordinary dashboard use.

For a volume quote, specify annual envelope sends, identity checks and SMS use. Include replacement-envelope frequency, any enterprise support requirements and the GST basis. Use the agreed service schedule for usage conditions, rather than treating an unlimited inclusion as permission for any use.

Electronic Signing Workflow

Annature’s documented signing process moves an envelope from preparation through recipient actions to completed documents and a certificate. The following example is illustrative, using fictional borrowers Alex and Sam and a broker engagement agreement.

  1. Prepare the correct agreement and upload it into an envelope. Apply a saved template where suitable, then place each borrower’s signature and information fields.
  2. Add Alex and Sam as signers using their names and email addresses. Add an administrator as a copy recipient if that person needs the completed evidence. Use signing order when one person’s action must precede another’s.
  3. Configure recipient authentication. Annature documents password protection and two-factor authentication. Select the method required for the document and communicate any password through a separate channel.
  4. Send the envelope with a message explaining the agreement. Each signer completes their assigned fields. Monitor the recipient states and resend a notification when follow-up is needed.
  5. Correct an outstanding recipient’s contact or authentication details through the documented management actions. Recall an in-progress envelope to draft when the documents need changes, then prepare and resend it.
  6. Once all required recipient actions are complete, retain the signed document and certificate of completion. Annature also supports a combined PDF containing both.

A pending recipient may be waiting for their turn in the signing order. A failed delivery needs investigation in the audit log. Neither state means the borrower has rejected the agreement.

Annature’s management guide describes an audit log recording events such as creation, sending, viewing and signing. The certificate accompanies the completed document.

Keep these together so the file identifies which transaction produced the signed version.

A viewer must acknowledge reviewing the document. A copy recipient receives the completed evidence without signing. These roles are different, so assigning someone as a copy recipient cannot satisfy a required signature.

Identity Verification and Evidence

Annature’s base identity verification captures identification documents and corroborates personal details using ComplyCube’s multi-bureau check. Its pricing page also lists government Document Verification Service (DVS) checks. Optional biometrics requires a live selfie matching the identity document.

Anti-money laundering (AML) and counter-terrorism financing (CTF) screening is a separate option. It searches sanctions and other risk lists, including politically exposed persons and adverse media. A screening match requires review against the client’s details.

Before requesting a check, explain its purpose and the information the client will provide. Annature’s recipient terms require consent to collecting, using and disclosing information for verification and any additional checks requested. Retain the brokerage’s notices and consent evidence with access restricted to the people handling the file.

Dashboard settings and custom API settings need separate attention. Annature’s July 2026 release note says biometrics and screening are on by default in its new dashboard flow. The API documentation states that its screening flag defaults to false, so a custom integration must set the intended options explicitly.

The request status can be sent, completed or cancelled. Completed means the individual has submitted their documents. Annature’s documentation allows a completed request to carry a warning requiring manual review, and reports can remain unavailable while subsequent checks run.

Screening reportResults of an enabled screening checkAssess possible matches and record the decision
Warning or mismatchDocuments need review or details need resolutionAssign an authorised reviewer before accepting the evidence
Report not yet availableProcessing has not finishedWait for report availability before treating the evidence pack as complete

For an expired document or name mismatch, the reviewer must resolve the reason and follow the lender’s accepted identity process. Request replacement evidence securely when needed.

Keep the file note focused on the issue and resolution, and avoid copying full identity documents into ordinary emails or broad team notes.

Verification of identity (VOI) for a property transaction has its own requirements. The Australian Registrars’ National Electronic Conveyancing Council’s August 2024 guidance requires reasonable steps and supporting evidence. An Annature result alone does not establish that every lender or property transaction’s VOI requirements are met.

The property-file identity guide explains that distinction.

Acceptance, Integrations and Administration

A brokerage must match the signing and identity method to each document owner’s acceptance rules. Record the document type, recipient authority and required signing or witnessing process before choosing how to send it.

A broker engagement agreement, lender application form and mortgage instrument can have different requirements. For a document with lender-specific conditions, retain the dated instruction authorising the method. Where that instruction requires the lender’s own signing channel, use that channel.

Annature’s documented Xplan integration lets users create envelopes and verifications for selected clients with recipient details populated. The integration populates recipient details within Annature. A manual export instead requires someone to download the signed PDF and attach it to a customer relationship management (CRM) record.

Custom API development is another method. Annature documents envelope operations, verification reports and webhooks, which notify another system about events. Its current verification-report guidance uses the version 2 API and a report-ready event because submission completion can precede report availability.

Custom API and webhooksCreates requests and handles returned events or reportsThe developer must implement access controls and failure handling

Solo practices mainly need reusable templates and a dependable way to keep completed evidence. Teams also need permission boundaries. Annature documents organisation-wide envelope access for administrators, while standard users see their own envelopes unless group sharing grants access.

Each account can belong to one group, and the envelope documentation excludes cross-group sharing. Configure templates and sharing around those boundaries so an administrator can handle absences without exposing unrelated client files.

Annature’s trust page states that customer data is stored in Australia by default. Its certifications page states that it maintains ISO 27001 information-security certification. These claims support vendor assessment, while the brokerage remains responsible for permissions and exported records.

Identity retention is configurable, with scheduled and completed purge dates documented in the verification API. Download links for envelope assets and verification reports expire after 60 minutes by default. Save required files into the brokerage’s controlled records system, using its retention policy and the secure document-collection practices.

Local support is included in standard signing pricing. Enterprise pricing adds premium onboarding and dedicated support arrangements. Choose the support arrangement that covers your team’s implementation needs without assuming a guaranteed response time.

Annature Fit and Alternatives

Annature is a practical fit when you need pay-per-use signing, multiple staff accounts and identity checks whose evidence your receiving parties accept. Its separate usage units suit a practice that can estimate envelope sends and checks without buying a signing seat for every administrator.

A simpler signing service can fit when the brokerage only needs occasional signatures and already has an accepted identity process. A specialist identity platform suits a file whose required verification method or evidence handling goes beyond the selected Annature workflow. Another combined service can fit when a required CRM connection or permission model determines how your team works.

Compare those options against the same requirements. Include completed-document exports, certificate content, authentication and accepted identity evidence. Assess team access, retention and support alongside the cost of sends, screening, messages and implementation.

Annature reviews need the same care. Its Tandem Financial case study attributes cost and document-handling improvements to Mankit Tsang, a financial planner. That is a named customer’s account of a financial-planning workflow, rather than evidence of every mortgage brokerage’s savings or lender acceptance.

The case study page does not show a publication date. Its reported improvements therefore do not establish a current cost comparison. By contrast, Annature’s current help and API documentation specify recipient roles, completion outputs and report handling that can be assessed against a broker’s document requirements.

Choose Annature when its accepted outputs and administration match your files, and the agreed usage model suits your document volume. If a required lender process or team permission boundary points elsewhere, choose the service that meets that requirement.
