HSBC Broker Portal: Access and Broker Support

Find HSBC's official Australian broker route, check access or onboarding, and direct account, application and BDM questions to the right support channel.

HSBC broker access is for managing an existing HSBC mortgage file through the bank’s Mortgage Portal or its support channels. As at October 2026, HSBC’s Australian home-loans page says it is no longer accepting applications. Existing applications and existing-loan support follow separate arrangements during the retail banking wind-down.

For a missing portal link or access problem, start with your established HSBC broker contact. If you don’t have that contact, use HSBC Australia’s published contact route and ask to be directed to the team responsible for your broker file.

Official HSBC Broker Access

Use HSBC’s Australian Mortgage Portal for broker work, with the access link supplied by HSBC or your aggregator. HSBC’s 20 November 2024 launch announcement identifies Mortgage Portal as its mortgage-broker service. That announcement describes application and settled-loan information, but it doesn’t override the later closure of new applications.

Follow this sequence before entering credentials or sending borrower information.

  1. Obtain the mortgage-broker destination from your established HSBC contact or aggregator’s lender channel.
  2. Read the full hostname in the browser address bar. For an HSBC Australia destination, the hostname must be hsbc.com.au or end with .hsbc.com.au.
  3. Confirm the page identifies the Australian mortgage-broker service. A familiar HSBC logo alone doesn’t identify the account you need.
  4. If the link redirects to a different provider, confirm that destination through your established HSBC contact before signing in.

A hostname such as hsbc.com.au.example.com belongs to example.com. Stop before entering information on a destination that doesn’t match the confirmed link.

MiVision, Customer Banking and Overseas Services

mivision.hsbc.com.au is HSBC MiVision, a different service from the mortgage-broker portal. As at October 2026, its live page displays MiVision branding. HSBC Australia’s commercial-card platform page describes MiVision as card management and spending reporting.

HSBC customer Online Banking is for the customer’s banking account. HSBC UK intermediary services handle UK mortgage business. Neither is the Australian mortgage-broker entry point, and a borrower’s banking credentials don’t authorise you to access their account.

Onboarding and Account Recovery

For an HSBC account needed to support an existing file, request access or recovery through your established broker relationship. As at October 2026, HSBC has stopped accepting new home-loan applications, so a portal registration isn’t a route to new HSBC lending.

HSBC announced its Australian retail banking wind-down on 31 July 2026. Its 11 September 2026 loan-transfer FAQ separates existing applications from loans already settled.

  • HSBC continues to review home-loan applications already submitted under its standard policies and processes.
  • HSBC honours valid pre-approvals, conditional approvals and unconditional approvals, subject to its lending criteria and expiry dates.
  • HSBC continues to service existing loans until transfer. Pepper Money is expected to manage and service them from the first half of 2027, subject to regulatory approvals.
  • HSBC sends written transfer updates. After transfer, Pepper Money’s welcome pack supplies the new contact and account-management details.

Keep an approval’s expiry date with the file. The wind-down announcement doesn’t extend it.

For a new user on an existing file, ask the broker contact to arrange the authorised access process for that file. Give your broker identifier, brokerage and aggregator, together with your work email and the file reference. Use the same route if an account is locked or you can sign in but lack permission to see a file.

If the established contact is unavailable, call 1300 308 008, the home-loan customer number on HSBC’s published contact page, as at October 2026. Identify yourself as the broker and ask for the appropriate mortgage-broker support owner. This is a published home-loan support fallback, not a broker-only helpdesk.

Application and BDM Support

Separate a login fault from a file-processing question when contacting HSBC, so the enquiry reaches the team able to act. As at October 2026, HSBC’s loan-transfer FAQ directs existing-loan enquiries to HSBC before the transfer and Pepper Money afterwards.

For a file still with HSBC, use the following routing request through your established broker contact. If you need a business development manager (BDM), ask that contact to identify the person responsible for your brokerage or file.

ProblemWhat to reportWho to request
Sign-in fails or the account is lockedConfirmed destination, broker identifier, error wording and timeThe team responsible for broker account access
Sign-in works but a file is missingApplication reference, broker identifier and whether other files are visibleThe owner of broker permissions and file allocation
An existing application has stopped progressingCurrent stage, last request, evidence already supplied and settlement deadlineThe application-processing team or assigned file contact
A question concerns an existing approval or proposed changeApproval reference, expiry date and the precise changeThe assigned file contact, with BDM or credit-team referral where needed
An existing loan needs servicing helpLoan reference, authority to act and the requested changeHSBC home-loan support before transfer, or Pepper Money after the notified transfer

These are descriptions of the help you need, not portal menu labels. Ask the first contact to confirm the receiving team and the next action.

For example, successful sign-in followed by a missing application points to a file-access question. Report that distinction before asking for a password reset. Don’t submit another application merely to make the file appear.

If a saved link fails and you can’t reach your broker contact, return to HSBC Australia’s published contact page. Ask for the current access route for your existing file and its support owner. For another lender’s entry point, use the Australian broker portal directory.

Support Evidence to Prepare

Prepare a short support record that lets HSBC identify the account or file without receiving unnecessary borrower documents. Keep these details together before calling or sending an enquiry.

  • Your broker identifier, brokerage, aggregator and work email.
  • The application or loan reference and your authority to act.
  • The current stage and date of the last successful action.
  • The exact error wording, affected destination and time of the failed attempt.
  • The deadline, including an approval expiry or settlement date where relevant.
  • The action you need, such as restoring file visibility or confirming receipt of a requested document.

Use a cropped screenshot if it helps explain an access error. Remove borrower information that isn’t needed to identify the fault. Never include passwords or authentication codes, and send borrower records only through the channel HSBC confirms for that file.

After the enquiry, record its reference, the receiving team and the agreed next step. Include who will act and when you will follow up. Before treating access as restored, confirm you can open the correct file with your own authorised account and that its reference matches your records.
