Macquarie Broker Portal: Access and BDM Contacts

Looking for Macquarie broker portal access or a bank BDM? Confirm permissions, find the right contact and gather details for a missing-file enquiry.

The Macquarie broker portal is accessed through Macquarie Bank’s Home Loans Broker Portal using your broker Macquarie ID, password and Macquarie Authenticator. For a business development manager (BDM), use Macquarie’s residential broker directory to find the team in your state.

Use the portal for application tracking and loan enquiries. Accreditation problems follow a different route through your aggregator, while a missing application needs its submitted reference and processing stage. For other lenders, use the broker portal directory.

Official Macquarie Broker Portal

Open the Macquarie Home Loans Broker Portal for residential broker access. As at October 2026, Macquarie’s login instructions require your Macquarie ID, password and Macquarie Authenticator.

Your broker Macquarie ID comes in the email Macquarie sends after accreditation. Macquarie issues a separate eight-digit ID for each platform, so a personal banking or adviser ID isn’t interchangeable with your broker ID. Macquarie University service desks and investment-client logins serve different users.

Follow these steps to reach your residential broker workspace.

  1. Open the Home Loans Broker Portal from the link above or the Brokers login menu on Macquarie Bank’s website.
  2. Enter the Macquarie ID issued for your broker access and your password. On your first login, follow the password and Authenticator setup prompts.
  3. Approve the login in Macquarie Authenticator on your registered device.
  4. Confirm you can see your broker workspace and the application list before opening a client file.

If you also bank with Macquarie, use the platform-specific ID guide to distinguish your access codes. A successful personal banking login doesn’t confirm broker access.

Accreditation and Account Permissions

Confirm accreditation through Macquarie’s approval email and your aggregator before treating an incomplete account as a password problem. As at October 2026, Macquarie’s accreditation process starts with your aggregator’s current form.

Macquarie requires relevant experience, current industry-body membership, a credit check, a police check and its online accreditation training. Macquarie sends confirmation after reviewing the application and supporting documents. For an unfinished application, your aggregator can follow up the outstanding accreditation requirements with Macquarie.

If your accreditation is inactive or your broker access remains locked, ask your aggregator to raise your status with Macquarie. Give your broker name, aggregation group, registered email and the exact message. Ask whether the issue is accreditation status, registered details or login recovery so the next action addresses the actual cause.

For a forgotten password, select ‘Forgot log in details?’ on the broker login page, then ‘Forgotten your Password’. Enter your Macquarie ID and mobile number, approve the reset through Authenticator and create the new password. Return to the broker login page to confirm access.

For a lost ID, use ‘Forgot log in details?’ followed by ‘Forgotten your Macquarie ID?’. For changed contact or business details, Macquarie instructs you to ask your aggregator to email its accreditations team.

If an Authenticator notification doesn’t arrive, check internet access, app notifications and the app’s Tasks section. Macquarie’s Authenticator troubleshooting guide also covers device recovery. When you no longer have a registered device, call 02 8550 5614, Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm Sydney time, excluding public holidays.

Use dedicated access for support staff. Macquarie’s Broker Code of Conduct prohibits sharing your login, including with staff. Register staff through the portal so each person uses their own credentials.

Macquarie BDM Contacts

Find your residential Macquarie BDM through the bank’s Talk to a BDM directory. As at October 2026, it groups specialists by state and publishes individual contact details.

Open the team for your state and contact the relevant BDM about the broker relationship or a scenario needing lender clarification. Include your brokerage and aggregator so the team can identify the right relationship contact. Use the residential directory for home loans, rather than a commercial banking or investment-service contact.

Send application progress and outstanding-document enquiries through Broker Portal chat. For login failures, follow the recovery route in the preceding section. A BDM policy conversation has a different purpose from tracing a submitted file or repairing account access.

If a file is missing, identify yourself and provide the submitted application reference, submission date and latest processing stage. Ask support to establish receipt and the broker access attached to that reference. A file missing from your screen doesn’t itself establish a decline or a permission fault.

If the file is visible but the lender has raised a credit-policy question, take the actual condition and relevant client circumstances to your BDM. Use the Macquarie lender policy guide for policy context. Bulma’s Policy Advisor quotes lender policy wording you can keep with the enquiry, while Macquarie handles application access and assessment.

Missing Applications

Trace a missing application from the submission record to Macquarie’s application list before preparing a support enquiry. As at October 2026, Macquarie’s application-status guide directs you to ‘View all your applications’ in the home page’s Your Application section.

  1. Find the submitted reference and acknowledgement in your lodgement records. Record the submission date and broker identity used.
  2. Open the portal’s application list and search for the application ID or applicant surname. Check the list view or status filters. Staff linked to multiple brokers can search by broker.
  3. If the file appears, open it and read the current status and back channel messages, which carry application updates. Record each outstanding document or clarification request.
  4. If it remains missing, start ‘Chat with us’ and select the query type for its stage. Give the application reference and applicant name, then explain what you can and can’t see.

Macquarie’s portal guide says withdrawn, cancelled, declined or duplicated applications remain visible for up to 30 days after the last status update. Apply that rule only to those statuses. For an older file, give support the last known status and date.

Prepare the Missing-File Enquiry

Keep the following details together in your brokerage’s internal enquiry record. This is a preparation checklist, not a list of mandatory portal fields.

  • Your broker name, Macquarie ID, brokerage, aggregator and registered contact details.
  • The application reference, submission acknowledgement and lodgement date.
  • The first and last name of at least one applicant, loan amount and security property address.
  • The last known stage, status-update date and exact error or missing-file symptom.
  • The settlement date, unresolved condition, evidence already supplied and the action you need from support.

Macquarie’s chat instructions ask for the application ID or account number, an applicant’s first and last name and your question. Those identifying details are supplied automatically when you start chat from the application. You can chat about files you originated, or files originated by brokers you’re registered to support.

If you can log in but can’t open the file, use the general chat entry and provide the reference manually. If you can’t enter the portal, resolve the access failure through the published recovery routes first. Your aggregator can follow up an accreditation issue, and the residential BDM directory gives you a relationship contact.

Escalate a Settlement Deadline

State the settlement deadline as a date and time, then name the unresolved condition and the response needed.

For example, a hypothetical enquiry could say, ‘Settlement is booked for 9 October at 2pm Sydney time. The requested payslip was uploaded on 1 October. Please confirm whether the income condition is cleared.’

Macquarie’s chat team operates Monday to Friday, 8:45am to 7:15pm Sydney time, excluding public and bank holidays. You can start a chat outside those hours, with a response on the next business day. Specialist teams can have different hours.

For formally approved application queries, Macquarie directs brokers to its panel solicitor, except when requesting an extension of formal approval. Use the panel solicitor handling the file for the relevant settlement enquiry and include the application reference and deadline.

Confirm recovery against the same application reference: the file is visible under the correct broker access, its stage is clear and each unresolved condition has an owner. Keep the support response with the file notes before telling your client what remains for settlement.
