Move Me in Review for Mortgage Brokers 2026
Assess Move Me In for a brokerage's client handoff. Check the current service, consent, data handling, referral terms, support and alternative routes.

Move Me In is a useful referral option for mortgage brokers whose clients want help arranging home connections after a purchase. Its BrokerEngine integration has a documented referral process, while clients retain the choice of service provider. Choose client-led arrangements when the client wants to keep their details with suppliers they select themselves.
This Move Me In review covers brokerage handoffs as at 3 October 2026. The deciding questions are whether the client wants contact and whether your team can manage changes after sending the referral.
What the Referral Service Covers
Move Me In compares and arranges utilities and other household services for people moving home or seeking a different deal at their existing address. Its website names energy and internet, alongside removals, cleaning and storage.
The website terms identify the operator as IRE Pty Ltd, trading as Move Me In. Those terms display an update date of 22 May 2019. The privacy page currently embeds the Reapit Lettings privacy policy, dated August 2025.
A homebuyer who wants help setting up services is a suitable referral candidate. A refinance client staying at the same property can also use the comparison service. A refinance alone doesn’t mean the client wants a referral or supplier contact.
Move Me In’s terms say its panel doesn’t include every product from participating providers. Providers can also have other offers on their own websites. Describe the service as a panel comparison, with the client’s eventual choice depending on the offer and address.
Keep the Service Separate from the Loan
Move Me In facilitates service arrangements. Your mortgage advice and settlement work remain with the brokerage, while the client contracts with the selected supplier for the household service.
For example, a fictional client buying an apartment might welcome help arranging electricity but prefer to retain their existing internet provider. Refer only for the help they agree to receive. Complete the home loan settlement checks independently of that referral.
Trace the Client Handoff
The documented BrokerEngine handoff sends property details, a settlement date and applicant contact details to Move Me In. BrokerEngine’s guide, dated 31 December 2023, requires a referral account and an established integration before use.
Treat consent as a step before sending the referral. Move Me In’s website says it contacts referred movers when it has their consent. Let each person whose contact details you share know who will contact them and why.
The BrokerEngine guide describes the following sequence:
- Open the client’s deal and select Move Me In.
- Review the displayed details. The security address must be a valid Australian residential address.
- Correct missing or wrong information before sending it.
- Select Sync. Save the case reference token returned when the transfer completes.
Move Me In follows up by text or phone. The guide also describes co-branded email communications inviting the client to choose deals. Explain the branding before referral so the client understands that Move Me In handles the connections enquiry.
The case reference confirms the transfer. It doesn’t establish that the client answered, selected an offer or received a connection. Keep a separate record of any outcome your team confirms.
Handle Refusals and Changes Explicitly
A client can opt out of the referral process. If they decline before referral, record that choice and don’t send their details. If they decline afterwards, help them use the contact or opt-out route and record their instruction in your file.
BrokerEngine permits one referral per lead or deal, and its guide says you can’t update a sent referral through BrokerEngine. For a changed move date or incorrect address, contact Move Me In support with the case reference. Update your own file and obtain confirmation of the amended arrangement.
For unanswered contact, keep the referral recorded as sent until you receive an outcome. Don’t treat silence as agreement to a utility contract or mark a connection complete. If the client still wants assistance near moving day, use Move Me In’s support route to follow up the existing case.
Move Me In lists support@movemein.com.au and 1300 911 947 for support. Agentbox’s onboarding guide also identifies memberservices@movemein.com.au for agency enquiries. Use the customer support route for the client’s case and the membership route for your brokerage’s setup.
Automation can start the contact process. Your team still needs to handle changed details and distinguish a successful transfer from a completed service.
Assess Data and Commercial Terms
A Move Me In referral shares information for a household-service enquiry, so limit the handoff to that purpose. The BrokerEngine transfer uses move-related fields and applicant contacts. It doesn’t require you to send the client’s full mortgage assessment file.
The homepage contact notice permits Move Me In to contact the person about an energy quote. The notice also links the privacy policy and website terms. A broker referral must reflect what the client actually agreed to, including contact for any additional services.
Consent, Recipients and Retention
The website terms describe authority to transmit submitted information as irrevocable, while authority to communicate is revocable. Their authorised-party definition includes service providers and real estate parties. Keep permission to send information separate from the client’s later decision to accept an offer.
The embedded Reapit policy covers group companies and third-party suppliers. It permits disclosures to business customers, service providers and other listed recipients. It also describes overseas processing recipients, despite stating that its cloud servers are in Australia.
The policy says personal information is retained only as long as necessary and deleted under relevant legislation and its Data Retention Policy. Stopping marketing and deleting an existing record are different requests. Direct privacy access or correction requests to privacy@reapit.com.au, and use the relevant opt-out option to stop direct marketing.
For your proposed workflow, record the client’s permission alongside the fields your team sends. Include any co-applicant whose details appear in the transfer. Avoid using general mortgage-file consent as permission for an unrelated household-services referral.
Fees and Referral Benefits
Move Me In describes its connection service as free for consumers and funded by suppliers. Its terms leave supplier connection costs and ongoing service charges with the client. Explain this distinction before suggesting that the household service itself is free.
Move Me In’s website says partners receive a percentage of supplier commission. BrokerEngine also describes commission for successful service referrals. State your brokerage’s actual arrangement to the client without promising a particular payment amount or payment date.
A brokerage’s referral income is a commercial benefit. It doesn’t establish that the client’s selected tariff is the lowest available. Give clients the option to decline the referral and arrange services themselves.
Choose the Appropriate Route
Choose Move Me In when a client wants assisted connections and your brokerage already uses its documented BrokerEngine referral route. BrokerConnect is an alternative for a brokerage seeking a white-label moving-services referral arrangement. Choose client-led arrangements when the client prefers direct supplier contact or wants to avoid sending details to a referral service.
BrokerConnect is provided through Compare Mortgage Brokers Pty Ltd and powered operationally by Movinghub. Its terms, dated 3 April 2026, require brokers to hold client authority and record necessary consent. They also separate provider contracts from the referral service.
| Decision factor | Move Me In | BrokerConnect | Client-led arrangements |
|---|---|---|---|
| Consent | Client agrees to the referral and contact. BrokerEngine transfers applicant contacts | Terms require client authority and evidence of necessary consent | Client supplies details directly to chosen suppliers |
| Brokerage workload | Review and send the documented referral, then handle corrections through support | Work within the agreed referral arrangement and retain authority records | Give moving reminders. Client manages supplier enquiries |
| Scope | Utilities and other household services from participating providers | Optional utility connections and move-related services through its provider panel | Client can contact suppliers outside either panel |
| Support | Move Me In customer support handles referral enquiries | BrokerConnect handles referral issues. Supplier handles its own service | Client uses each supplier’s support process |
| Commercial transparency | Supplier-funded service with partner referral income | Terms allow commercial benefits under the selected partner arrangement | Brokerage has no referral benefit from either service |
BrokerConnect’s privacy policy names Movinghub as a delivery partner and lists move details alongside contact information. It provides a consent-withdrawal contact at service@brokerconnect.comparemortgagebrokers.com.au. Its terms say referral benefits depend on the selected partner pathway, so don’t assume the same reward arrangement as Move Me In.
For a client who needs electricity arranged for an approaching move, the assisted route reduces the supplier enquiries they manage themselves. The client must still select an offer and receive the supplier’s confirmation. For a client happy with their providers, a move-date reminder and direct supplier contact can be enough.
Adopt Move Me In as an optional handoff with a named staff member responsible for corrections and unresolved cases. Record the client’s choice before transfer, retain the case reference and close the handoff only when its outcome is known.
