Cynario Alternatives for Mortgage Brokers 2026
Before replacing Cynario, compare alternatives against the workflow that no longer fits: policy research, email access, CRM work or team costs.

Bulma is the strongest Cynario alternative for mortgage brokers who want lender policy research and scenario planning in one place. It answers policy questions across 52+ lenders and quotes the lender’s wording behind each answer. For a client scenario, it shows which lenders fit, the borrowing power at each one and the documents you’ll need.
Cynario still suits brokers who email policy questions, research inside Salestrekker 2.0 or want marketing help in the same subscription. Other alternatives replace one part of it, such as email questions with CreditPolicy or unlimited questions with Thryvve. The right choice depends on which Cynario function no longer fits your brokerage.
Reasons to Consider a Change
Brokers compare Cynario alternatives for four kinds of reasons: the research they need, the channel they ask through, how their team works and what the plan costs. A change of tool can make sense even when Cynario does its own job well. Name your reason first, because each one points to a different replacement.
Start with what Cynario does for you today. Its policy assistant, Charli, assesses a scenario against about 40 residential lenders. It covers loan-to-value ratio (LVR), income type, entity structure, security, postcode and documentation pathway.
You can ask Charli in chat or email it a question without signing up. Salestrekker 2.0 users can also ask from inside a client record in that customer relationship management (CRM) system. Cynario’s other assistant, Alex, writes and publishes social posts, client emails and blog articles.
Before you compare replacements, list the Cynario functions your brokerage actually uses:
- policy research across the lenders you place loans with
- questions sent by email, including from colleagues without a login
- research inside a Salestrekker 2.0 client record, with policy notes saved to the file
- marketing campaigns from Alex and review posts from Cynario Reviews
- continuing professional development (CPD) points, which Cynario tracks at one point for every 40 policy questions
Then separate a coverage need from a workflow need. If Charli’s panel misses lenders you use, or you need borrowing power and scenario planning, you need a different research tool. If the research suits you but you want another channel, integration, team set-up or price, a narrower change can solve it.
Cynario sells plans by the number of users and the assistants included. Lite covers Charli for one user, while Starter adds Alex. Builder covers three users and Core covers five, and there’s also a pay-as-you-go option and a marketing-only plan.
Options by Need
Policy specialists answer from lender documents, while broader assistants such as ChatGPT write from their training, web search and the material you give them. Choose a policy specialist to replace Charli. A broader assistant only complements it, mostly for Alex’s drafting work.
| Alternative | Cynario function it replaces | Drawback that affects the switch |
|---|---|---|
| Bulma | Charli’s policy research, plus scenario planning and borrowing power across 52+ lenders | A research and scenario tool, so marketing content needs another tool |
| CreditPolicy | Policy research by email or in its workspace, plus servicing, lender forms and branded documents | Solo and Team plans include 1,500 credits per seat a month |
| Thryvve | Policy questions and comparisons, unlimited on every plan, with policy change alerts | Lists 29+ lenders, a smaller panel than Charli’s |
| Quickli Pro | Policy answers from Jiffi AI inside a servicing calculator | Jiffi needs the Pro plan, and its monthly credits are shared with Loan Notes |
| General AI assistants | Drafting posts and client emails, as Alex does | No lender policy library, so they can’t replace Charli |
Bulma
Bulma handles both the quick policy question between appointments and the client scenario that needs more thought. Its Policy Advisor answers in plain English across 52+ residential lenders and about 50 policy areas. Coverage includes the big four, Macquarie and non-banks such as Pepper Money, Liberty, La Trobe Financial and RedZed.
Every answer quotes the policy wording it relied on, with the lender, the policy area and the date Bulma last updated that policy. You can check the answer against the quote and copy both into your file notes. When you compare lenders, Bulma names the ones whose policy doesn’t address your question.
Its Scenario Planner takes the client’s whole scenario once, typed in or loaded from your CRM, payslips or a fact find. Bulma groups the lenders into those that fit standard policy, fit with conditions or need an exception. For each lender, you see the borrowing power, the conditions to meet and the documents to gather.
For a scenario outside standard policy, Bulma shows known exception pathways rated Documented, Precedented or Reported. An exception pathway isn’t written policy, so confirm it with the lender or their business development manager (BDM). The lender’s own assessment still sets the final borrowing figure.
No lender, aggregator or broker group owns Bulma. Solo suits one broker, and Team covers up to five members with shared history and extra seats available. Every plan includes both tools with generous usage limits, a 14-day free trial with no credit card and support answered by the founder.
Bulma is a research and scenario planning tool, so Alex’s marketing work needs another tool. It also doesn’t quote interest rates or fees. For a closer look at how the two products compare, read Bulma vs Cynario.
CreditPolicy
CreditPolicy suits a brokerage that wants to keep asking policy questions by email. Its Ask by Email keeps the answer and its sources in the same thread, and Policy Chat gives page-cited answers in the workspace. It also compares residential servicing across lenders.
The rest of the workspace turns client notes into a profile, reuses reviewed details in lender forms and produces branded document drafts. CreditPolicy says you keep your existing CRM and use it for the work around the client file. Its panel covers 96 brands across residential, commercial, asset finance and personal lending, so check the residential lenders you use.
Solo and Team plans include 1,500 credits per seat a month, and Team needs at least three seats. Unlimited credits come with the custom Brokerage / Aggregator plan, and the seven-day trial asks for a card at signup. For the detail, read Bulma vs CreditPolicy.
Thryvve
Thryvve suits brokers who mainly want unlimited policy questions on a simple per-seat plan. It searches and compares policies from 29+ lenders, links answers to the lender documents and alerts you when a lender changes a policy. It also analyses payslips and drafts emails to clients or lenders.
Every plan includes every feature, and team members get their own logins under your supervision. You register with your Credit Representative Number, and the 30-day trial needs no payment method. Thryvve keeps your client’s personal information only for the session.
The smaller panel is the main trade-off against Charli’s roughly 40 lenders and Bulma’s 52+. Thryvve describes itself as working beside your aggregator and CRM, not inside them. See Bulma vs Thryvve for a closer comparison.
Quickli Pro
Quickli Pro fits brokers whose day starts in a servicing calculator rather than a policy chat. Its Jiffi AI answers questions across 51+ lenders’ policies and products, beside Quickli’s servicing, funds position and product comparison tools. Loan Notes drafts submission notes from the same plan.
Jiffi and Loan Notes share 3,200 credits a person each month, so compare that allowance with your question volume. Quickli Core has no Jiffi, which makes Core a complement to Cynario rather than a replacement. The comparison of Bulma and Quickli covers policy and servicing in more depth.
General AI Assistants
A general assistant such as ChatGPT can draft social posts, client emails and blog articles from your prompts. That covers the writing part of Alex’s work. Alex also publishes to social platforms and WordPress from Cynario, so plan how drafted posts will reach those channels.
ChatGPT works from its training, web search and the apps you connect, and OpenAI lists no lender policy library. Use it beside a policy specialist, never in place of one. The comparison of Bulma and ChatGPT shows where each one fits.
What Changes in Daily Work
A switch changes where each policy question starts, where you check the source and how the answer reaches the client file. Check two dependencies before you choose. The first is whether anyone relies on emailing Charli, and the second is whether your notes live in Salestrekker 2.0.
Cynario’s email route needs no signup, so colleagues may use it without a login. If your team relies on email, CreditPolicy’s Ask by Email keeps that habit, with the answer and its sources in the same thread.
Inside Salestrekker 2.0, Charli answers from the client record and saves structured policy notes to the file. Bulma loads a scenario from your CRM, and you copy the answer and its quoted sources into the file note. CreditPolicy and Thryvve both describe themselves as sitting beside your existing CRM.
To see the difference, take a fictional question. A self-employed client has held an Australian Business Number (ABN) for 14 months and wants to borrow at 85% LVR. Which lenders accept that trading history?
| Route | Where the question starts | How you review the source | How the answer reaches the client file |
|---|---|---|---|
| Cynario | Email Charli, or ask from the Salestrekker 2.0 client record | Read the policy detail in Charli’s structured answer, then confirm it with the lender before submission | Salestrekker saves a structured policy note. An emailed answer is pasted in by hand. |
| Bulma | Ask Policy Advisor, or load the client’s scenario from your CRM into Scenario Planner | Read the quoted wording, with the lender, policy area and update date | Copy the answer and its sources into the file note |
| CreditPolicy | Email the question, or ask in Policy Chat | Open the cited page of the source document | The answer stays in the email thread or saved chat until you add it to the file |
| Thryvve | Ask in chat after signing in | Follow the link to the lender document | Copy the answer into your notes, because client details last only for the session |
| Quickli Pro | Ask Jiffi inside Quickli | Check the lender source behind Jiffi’s answer | Loan Notes drafts the submission note from the same credit allowance |
Keep client identifiers out of the question on every route. Cynario’s terms bar uploads that contain personal information, and a question about trading history and LVR needs no name. Bulma’s Scenario Planner adds the borrowing power at each lender to the same check.
A replacement can add manual steps you don’t have today:
- Agree where colleagues send policy questions if they currently email Charli without a login.
- Paste answers into Salestrekker 2.0 by hand if you leave its built-in Policy AI.
- Move Alex campaigns and Cynario Reviews posts to another tool, or publish them yourself.
- Record your CPD hours from policy research yourself, unless the new tool tracks them.
- Save the answers you rely on into your client files before cancelling. Cynario’s terms ask subscribers to extract their data when a plan ends.
Keep the policy evidence behind each recommendation with the file for your best interests duty records.
Stay or Switch
Switch to Bulma when you want one tool for policy questions and scenario planning, with borrowing power at each lender and the quoted policy behind every answer. Its 52+ lenders also suit a broker whose panel goes beyond Charli’s.
Choose CreditPolicy when email questions, lender forms and branded documents matter most. Choose Thryvve for unlimited policy questions on a per-seat plan, or Quickli Pro when servicing drives your day.
Stay with Cynario when its channels match how your brokerage works. That means emailing Charli from your inbox, researching inside Salestrekker 2.0 client records, getting marketing from Alex in the same subscription or earning tracked CPD points. If those advantages decide your week and Charli’s panel covers your lenders, keep Cynario.
If policy research and scenario planning are the jobs you want to move, try Bulma free. The 14-day trial includes both tools and needs no credit card.
