Pepper Asset Finance: Broker Guide
Assess Pepper asset finance and verify the Pepper Finance Corporation Limited name, current lending entity, asset criteria and broker submission route.

Pepper asset finance includes commercial vehicle and equipment funding through Pepper Money’s asset-finance broker channel. Its commercial product page, dated 20 August 2026, names Pepper Asset Finance Pty Limited as the credit provider. Brokers use Solana for asset-finance applications.
A business equipment purchase belongs in that channel. Pepper’s residential lending policies and home-loan portal don’t establish eligibility for the asset purchase. Compare other lender routes in the asset-finance policy guides.
Current Pepper Asset-Finance Route
Pepper Money has a current commercial asset-finance route for business vehicles and equipment, including specialist assets. Its commercial asset-finance page, dated 20 August 2026, describes equipment purchases or upgrades and commercial vehicle acquisition. This includes fleet vehicles and equipment used by trade, transport or service businesses.
Pepper’s working-with-us page lists Commercial Loans, Finance Lease and Novated Lease among its business options. It names earthmoving and agricultural equipment, material handling equipment, computers and office equipment, renewable energy assets and rigid trucks. An asset category on that page is a starting point for placement, subject to the transaction’s credit assessment.
For a mixed-purpose asset, separate the business use from the personal use in your enquiry. Give Pepper the actual use and proposed structure so its asset-finance team can identify the applicable product. Use the asset-finance structure guide to compare a loan with a lease before requesting a quote.
Which Pepper Entity Is the Lender?
Pepper Asset Finance Pty Ltd and Pepper Finance Corporation Limited are distinct legal entities. Current ABN Lookup details for Pepper Asset Finance, extracted on 3 October 2026, show Australian Business Number (ABN) 56 165 183 317. Its Australian Company Number (ACN) is 165 183 317.
Pepper’s commercial asset-finance disclosure names that company as the credit provider, with Australian Credit Licence 458899. The provider uses both “Pty Ltd” and “Pty Limited” in its material.
The register entry for Pepper Finance Corporation Limited shows a separate active company with ABN 51 094 317 647 and ACN 094 317 647. Pepper’s website identifies it as the provider of home loans serviced by Pepper Money. It isn’t an earlier name for the asset-finance company.
Match the credit-provider name and company number in the proposed finance documents to the asset-finance product. A Pepper group name alone doesn’t identify the lender for your client’s transaction.
Borrower, Asset and Transaction Fit
Assess the business that will borrow and the asset it will use before requesting Pepper’s terms. Pepper’s commercial page, dated 20 August 2026, describes support for businesses across different industries and stages of growth. A business’s industry alone doesn’t establish approval.
Prepare these facts for the asset-finance team to assess against the applicable criteria.
- Name the borrowing entity, its owners and any proposed guarantors. Include the ABN and whether a trust or related company is involved.
- Give the business’s commencement date and explain any change of ownership or activity. Separate registration history from the period it has actually traded.
- Describe the asset’s job in the business and where it will operate. Explain how it replaces equipment or supports additional work.
- Identify the supplier and any relationship to the borrower. State whether the transaction is a dealer purchase, private sale or purchase from a related party.
- Set out the purchase price, deposit and amount requested. Include the proposed term, any final lump-sum payment and the delivery deadline.
- Identify the asset and give its age. Describe its condition and, for equipment, its expected remaining working life and maintenance history where available.
For equipment-specific assessment, the equipment finance guide explains supplier and useful-life checks. Use the resulting asset description in the Pepper enquiry so the team assesses the actual machine or vehicle.
New, Used, Private Sale and Refinance
Describe each transaction precisely instead of treating every vehicle purchase as the same product. Pepper’s separate consumer page supports new, used and demonstration vehicles and lists private-sale fees. Those consumer terms don’t establish the commercial transaction’s eligibility or fees.
For a used commercial asset or private purchase, request terms for the named asset and seller. For a proposed refinance, include the existing lender, payout amount and reason for refinancing. Obtain Pepper’s response on the proposed commercial purpose before promising the client a funding route.
Evidence and Security Checks
Build a document pack that proves the facts in your enquiry and exposes any ownership or security problem before settlement. Pepper’s Solana guide, dated 20 August 2026, describes identity verification, electronic signatures and document discrepancy checks. The approved transaction determines the documents Pepper asks you to supply.
The table is a broker preparation checklist. It doesn’t prescribe a fixed Pepper document count or statement period.
| Evidence to prepare | What to reconcile | Question for the transaction |
|---|---|---|
| Identity and entity records | Borrower names, directors and authority to sign | Which people must complete Pepper’s identity process? |
| Business financials and tax records | Income, current trading and existing commitments | Which financial evidence does Pepper require for this borrower and product? |
| Business bank statements | Trading receipts, repayments and unpaid items | What statement period and explanations does the assessment require? |
| Supplier quote or invoice | Asset description, seller, price and deposit | Will payment go to the supplier, an existing financier or another authorised recipient? |
| Asset details and condition evidence | Serial number, vehicle identification number or equipment identifiers | Is an inspection or valuation required for this asset? |
| Ownership and existing finance records | Legal owner, current lender and any payout | What release of existing security is required? |
| Registration and insurance information | Registered details, intended use and cover | What registration and insurance evidence must be in place for settlement? |
Get a written lender response where the seller’s ownership is unclear, the invoice names another entity or existing finance remains over the asset. Ask who arranges the valuation or inspection and which report Pepper will accept. For a refinance, clarify the payout recipient and how the existing lender releases its security.
Ask Pepper to identify the security it will take and the party responsible for registering it. Record any guarantee requirement and whether it changes the proposed borrower structure. Keep that response with the file so the finance documents can be checked against it.
Submission and Escalation
Use Pepper’s asset-finance accreditation route and Solana for the commercial asset case. As at October 2026, its accreditation page directs asset-finance enquiries to 1300 667 766 or its contact team. The page separates that route from the mortgage and personal-loan profile form.
Confirm your asset-finance access with that team, including the arrangement through your aggregator or introducer business. Existing home-loan accreditation isn’t proof of asset-finance access. Choose the asset-finance contact in Pepper’s business development manager (BDM) directory.
Pepper’s Solana guide describes application submission, progress tracking and direct credit-team links within an application. Detailed platform instructions are in Solana’s User Guides section. Use the broker site’s “Solana (Asset Finance)” login destination when your access is ready.
A Useful Quote or Exception Enquiry
Send a short case summary that gives the team enough information to answer a specific question. A hypothetical enquiry for a used excavator could read as follows.
A civil works company has traded since 2019 and wants a used excavator from an unrelated private seller. The machine is a 2020 model and will work on local construction contracts. The company will contribute a deposit and wants commercial asset funding for the balance. Please confirm whether this asset and private-sale transaction fit the applicable product, what financial evidence you require and whether you need a valuation or inspection.
Attach the asset identifiers and supplier quote through the agreed secure channel. Add the requested amount and term, borrower structure, available financial evidence and any adverse credit or bank-conduct issue. If the request involves an exception, identify the particular fact that needs consideration and the evidence that supports it.
For a case already in Solana, include the application reference when contacting the credit team or BDM. Ask for a written response that states the product, any exception decision and outstanding conditions. Before submission or settlement, reconcile the quote and finance documents with that response and resolve any difference in borrower, asset or lender identity.
