Bluestone Broker Portal: Onboarding and Scenario Help
Working on a specialist residential file? Use the Bluestone broker portal for accreditation, account recovery, scenario and processing support.

The Bluestone broker portal is the Broker Hub at bluestone.com.au/brokers, where you apply for accreditation, find your business development manager (BDM) and download policy, calculators and forms. Bluestone’s accreditation training guide directs you to lodge through ApplyOnline or your aggregator’s software, with status updates in ApplyOnline.
The Login links on Bluestone’s main site open borrower internet banking and an investor portal. Neither one is a broker entry point, so keep your broker credentials away from both.
This guide covers Bluestone’s public broker pages, its accreditation steps and the support routes it publishes for residential files. Screens inside ApplyOnline and aggregator software aren’t described.
Official Bluestone Broker Portal
Start at bluestone.com.au/brokers, the page Bluestone titles Broker Hub. As at October 2026, the Bluestone broker hub links to products, the Online Credit Policy, the Product Guide, Find a BDM, calculators, forms and the accreditation application.
Bluestone’s main site at bluestone.com.au is written for borrowers. Its Login menu has two destinations, and neither is for brokers.
| Destination | Address | Who it’s for |
|---|---|---|
| Broker Hub | bluestone.com.au/brokers | Brokers looking for accreditation, policy, forms, calculators and BDM contacts |
| Customer or Borrower login | ib.bluestone.com.au | Bluestone borrowers managing their loan in Bluestone Internet Banking |
| Investor Portal | portal.bluestone.com.au | Investors, as Bluestone labels it. It isn’t a broker or borrower login. |
| ApplyOnline or aggregator software | Your aggregator’s platform | Brokers lodging Bluestone applications, uploading documents and tracking status |
Bluestone’s training guide for new brokers says applications go in electronically, either directly through ApplyOnline (AOL) or through your aggregator software. The guide is dated 14 December 2023 and is still linked from Bluestone’s accreditation pages. It lists real-time status updates and backchannel messaging in ApplyOnline.
Check the Destination Before You Sign In
Check where a link leads before you enter a password anywhere. Bluestone’s online safety page says its emails only come from the bluestone.com.au domain. It also says Bluestone never asks for your password, PIN or one-time codes.
- Type the address yourself. Go to bluestone.com.au/brokers instead of following a link in an email or text message. The browser tab reads Bluestone Home Loans | Broker Hub.
- Confirm credential requests. If a link asks for credentials, confirm its destination with your Bluestone BDM or aggregator before signing in.
- Sign in where you normally lodge. Open ApplyOnline or your aggregator’s software from your own bookmark or your aggregator’s website.
- Report anything suspicious. Send details of a doubtful email or page to fraud@bluestone.com.au, or call 13 25 83.
If a borrower client asks for help with their own login, send them to ib.bluestone.com.au. Bluestone’s contact page lists 13 25 83 for customers, and its Existing customers form includes an Account login help option. For other lenders’ broker entry points, use the broker portal directory.
Onboarding and Accreditation
To get Bluestone access, submit the accreditation application from the Broker Hub, then complete the online learning and quiz. Bluestone confirms the outcome, and once you’re accredited you lodge through ApplyOnline or your aggregator software.
As at October 2026, Bluestone’s accreditation application page asks you to have three things ready.
- One form of ID, either a driver’s licence or a passport.
- Proof of membership of the Mortgage & Finance Association of Australia (MFAA) or the Finance Brokers Association of Australia (FBAA).
- A completed accreditation form.
The online form asks for your name, email, phone number and aggregator. The aggregator list includes AFG, Connective, Finsure and Loan Market, with an Other option.
Bluestone Accreditation Steps in Order
- Submit the accreditation application. Have your ID and membership proof ready, complete the form and choose your aggregator. Bluestone says its Accreditation team will be in touch within 3 to 5 business days.
- Complete the online learning. Bluestone then sends you a link to its online learning module and Broker Accreditation Quiz. Its New Brokers Accreditation page asks for your email, links the training guide as a PDF and then runs a 10-question quiz on Bluestone’s products and policy.
- Receive the outcome. Bluestone confirms the result of your application. If you’re accredited, you can start working on a Bluestone deal.
- Lodge your first application. Submit it through ApplyOnline or your aggregator software, the two channels Bluestone’s training guide names.
- Check that access works. Watch for Bluestone’s first status update on that application. If none arrives, follow the missing-file steps below.
If you’re new to broking, sort out your aggregator before you apply, because Bluestone’s form asks which one you’re with. The guide to choosing an aggregator as a new broker covers that step.
Account and Application Recovery
Fix a Bluestone access problem by first working out what has failed: your platform login, your accreditation or the file itself. Each one goes to a different place. Bluestone handles accreditation and files, while your login belongs to the platform you lodge through.
As at October 2026, Bluestone’s broker pages send support questions to your BDM first. Sales Support is the fallback at sales.support@bluestone.com.au, and the broker contact form asks you to allow at least one business day for a reply. Bluestone’s broker pages also list 13 25 83.
| Problem | What you see | Where to take it | Safe evidence to send |
|---|---|---|---|
| Login fault | You can’t sign in to ApplyOnline or your aggregator software | The platform’s support or your aggregator, because your login comes from them | Your name, aggregator, platform and the exact error message. Never a password or one-time code. |
| Permission fault | You can sign in but can’t lodge with Bluestone | Your BDM or Sales Support, who can check your accreditation with the Accreditation team | Your name, aggregator, the date you applied for accreditation and any outcome email |
| Missing file | You lodged, but no status update has come back | Your BDM, then Sales Support | The application reference and lodgement time, plus the borrower’s surname |
| Missing document | Bluestone asks for a document you think you sent | Upload it into the application in ApplyOnline, then tell your BDM | The document name and the date you first uploaded it |
| Borrower login fault | Your client can’t open their loan account | Bluestone’s customer team on 13 25 83 or the Account login help form | Nothing from you. The client contacts Bluestone directly. |
Keep borrower documents inside the application instead of email. Bluestone’s July 2025 application checklist tells you to upload documents straight into the application in ApplyOnline. When you do email Sales Support, identify the file by its reference number and the borrower’s surname.
Recover a Missing Bluestone Application
- Confirm the submission. Check in your platform that the application went to Bluestone, and note its reference number and lodgement time.
- Read the latest status update. A request for information can look like a stalled file, so check what Bluestone last sent back.
- Check the documents against the checklist. The July 2025 checklist asks for broker notes as a PDF, a signed Customer Declaration Form and a copy of the serviceability calculator as a PDF. Bluestone’s first touch confirms it has everything for a first credit decision, so a gap here holds the file.
- Contact your BDM. Give the reference number, the lodgement date and what you expected to happen.
- Fall back to Sales Support. Email sales.support@bluestone.com.au, or call Bluestone on 13 25 83, if your BDM can’t resolve it. Allow at least one business day for an email reply.
- Confirm the recovery. The file is back on track when Bluestone confirms it holds the application and lists anything still outstanding.
Specialist Scenario Help
Take an eligibility question to your Bluestone BDM before you lodge. Take a submitted-file update or a processing fault to the same BDM, with the application reference. A BDM’s view guides the file, but Bluestone states that all applications are subject to credit assessment and loan eligibility criteria.
As at October 2026, Bluestone’s Find a BDM page lists 12 BDMs, each with a direct mobile number and email. Bluestone recommends contacting your BDM directly and keeps Sales Support as the backup. Its Broker Hub says your BDM helps you workshop scenarios.
| Situation | Send it to | What to include |
|---|---|---|
| Eligibility discussion before you lodge | Your BDM by phone or email | The verified scenario summary described below |
| Loan-to-value ratio (LVR) over 80% or a loan over $3 million | Your BDM, as Bluestone’s Quick Policy Guide directs | The security postcode, loan amount and LVR |
| Update on a submitted file | Your BDM, then Sales Support | The application reference and the last status update |
| Processing fault, such as a stalled file or a condition that doesn’t fit | Your BDM | The reference, the condition’s exact wording and the documents already uploaded |
Prepare Verified Borrower Facts
Check each borrower fact against a document before you ask for a scenario response. Bluestone’s Quick Policy Guide, last updated 10 November 2025, sorts residential borrowers into Prime, Near Prime, Specialist and Specialist+ tiers. The facts below decide which tier your BDM can discuss.
- Credit conduct. Note mortgage arrears in the past six months and any defaults or judgements. Add any bankruptcy or Part 9 or Part 10 debt agreement with its discharge date, taken from the credit report and statements.
- Self-employment. Note how long the borrower has held an Australian Business Number (ABN) and been registered for goods and services tax (GST). Decide whether you’ll verify income with full documentation (full doc) or alternative documentation (alt doc).
- Income. List each income type with its evidence, such as two recent payslips for pay as you go (PAYG) income.
- Security and loan. Record the property postcode, price or value, loan amount and LVR. Bluestone’s Acceptable Security Locations tool shows the maximum LVR and loan amount for each postcode.
- Debts to consolidate. List each debt and its balance, including any Australian Taxation Office (ATO) or business debt.
- Borrowers. Name everyone applying, including any company or trust. The guide allows up to four borrowers per loan.
The thresholds differ between tiers. For mortgage conduct, Prime accepts no arrears over 14 days, while Near Prime accepts less than one month of arrears in the past six months. For self-employed borrowers, Prime needs an ABN held for 24 months and GST for 12 months, while Near Prime needs an ABN for 12 months and GST for one day.
Alt doc income needs one of the following evidence options. Use six months of business activity statements (BAS) with the BAS calculator in PDF format, six months of business bank statements or an accountant’s letter.
For how credit history affects a home loan more broadly, read the guide to a home loan with bad credit history. The self-employed home loan guide covers income evidence in more depth.
Hypothetical Scenario Summary
Here’s a hypothetical summary you could send a BDM. Every figure is illustrative.
Self-employed sole trader, ABN held 14 months, GST registered 10 months. Income verified with six months of BAS and the BAS calculator in PDF format. One mortgage payment 20 days late four months ago, no other arrears. Metro purchase at $700,000 with a $560,000 loan, an LVR of 80%, postcode checked in Acceptable Security Locations. Two personal loans to consolidate. Which tier fits, and what else do you need?
Against the Quick Policy Guide, the 14-month ABN is short of Prime’s 24 months but meets Near Prime’s 12. The 20-day arrears exceed Prime’s 14-day limit and sit within Near Prime’s limit of less than one month.
On those two facts, Near Prime is the tier to discuss. The guide lists alt doc evidence without limiting it to one tier. Its BAS option requires six months of statements with the BAS calculator in PDF format.
If you’re weighing Bluestone against other specialist lenders before you call, Bulma’s Scenario Planner checks the same scenario against 52+ lenders, including Bluestone. Each result quotes the policy wording it relied on, which you can keep in your file notes for your best interests duty records.
Send the summary to your BDM before you lodge. Then lodge through ApplyOnline or your aggregator software once the BDM has named the documents that tier needs, knowing that Bluestone’s credit assessment still decides the outcome.
