NAB Broker Portal: Access and Application Help

Locked out of the NAB broker portal or missing a loan file? Check accreditation and permissions, then find the right application or technical support.

The National Australia Bank (NAB) broker portal is nabbroker.com.au, where accredited brokers select Log in to reach NAB’s products, credit policies, forms and contacts. Applications run through NAB’s ApplyOnline site, which signs you in with your five-digit NAB Broker ID number.

If you can sign in but an application is missing, collect the submission reference and lodgement details. Ask NAB to check the file and your access.

Official NAB Broker Portal

Start at nabbroker.com.au and select Log in or the “Already accredited?” card. As at October 2026, the public pages cover accreditation, residential and commercial lending, offers and NAB’s current processing times without a sign-in.

Signing in opens the rest of the portal. Its menu lists Products, Credit policies, Resources, Forms & Calculators, News, Home Lending and Contact Us. Starting an application or ordering a valuation from the portal opens NAB’s ApplyOnline site at nabbroker.applyonline.com.au.

The two sign-ins use your broker identity, not a customer login.

For broker access, start at nabbroker.com.au. NAB also owns ubank, which has its own broker access, covered in the ubank broker portal guide. For other lenders, use the broker portal directory.

Accreditation and Permissions

You confirm NAB accreditation through your aggregator, because NAB only accredits brokers through an aggregator or franchise group. As at October 2026, NAB’s broker accreditation page says the group gives you the forms and seeks accreditation on your behalf. Once it’s approved, a NAB business development manager (BDM) contacts you.

That BDM contact is your sign that NAB has set you up. If it hasn’t come, ask your aggregator’s accreditation team for the status before you try to sign in. The guide to choosing an aggregator as a new broker covers the step before that.

Permissions decide what you can open once you’re in. NAB’s portal shows each menu section by user group, and the Commissions section appears only for users given commission access. For application access, give your BDM the submission reference and your broker details so NAB can check the file and your permissions.

Check Access in This Order

Work through these checks in order. Each one depends on the one before it.

  1. Accreditation. Confirm with your aggregator that your NAB accreditation is active. NAB’s portal sign-in is for accredited brokers only.
  2. Activation. Find your five-digit NAB Broker ID number. For a first ApplyOnline sign-in, call NAB’s Broker Service Centre on 1300 622 276 to receive your password.
  3. Delegated permission. If an assistant or loan processor works on your files, ask your aggregator or BDM what access NAB has given them. Don’t lend them your login, because the ApplyOnline sign-in page warns that every access is logged.
  4. Profile. Check that your name, aggregator and Broker ID match across your aggregator’s records and NAB. If you’ve moved aggregator, ask the new aggregator to confirm your NAB accreditation before you lodge.

You’ve finished when you can sign in to both the portal and ApplyOnline and see an application you lodged yourself. The guide to switching mortgage aggregator covers the wider move between groups.

NAB treats commercial and equipment finance as separate accreditations. As at October 2026, they need your aggregator’s approval and two years of business banking or similar commercial lending experience. Equipment finance also needs Commercial & Asset Finance Brokers Association (CAFBA) membership.

Account and Missing-File Recovery

Start by identifying whether sign-in fails or an application is missing after sign-in. A missing file can need an access check even when your password works. As at October 2026, NAB’s public sign-in instructions and service levels help with the checks below.

Recover a Login

  1. Check the address. Use nabbroker.com.au for the portal or nabbroker.applyonline.com.au for ApplyOnline, not nab.com.au.
  2. Check the username. As at October 2026, the ApplyOnline sign-in page says your username is your five-digit NAB Broker ID number.
  3. For your first ApplyOnline password, call the Broker Service Centre on 1300 622 276. For a failed existing login, contact your BDM for the appropriate access-support route.
  4. Confirm the fix. Sign in successfully. If an application is still missing, follow the file checks below.

Find a Missing Application

  1. Find your lodgement evidence. Use the submission confirmation from ApplyOnline or the platform you lodged through, with its date and time.
  2. Record the submitting broker and aggregator where available, including any Broker ID on the confirmation. Note the platform used to lodge.
  3. Contact your BDM with the safe identifiers below. Ask NAB to check the file and your access, and confirm the correct access route.
  4. Confirm the fix. Open the application or follow NAB’s confirmed access instructions.

Give NAB these details so it can find the file without exposing your client.

  • your name, Broker ID and aggregator
  • the application or submission reference number
  • the lodgement date and time in Australian Eastern Standard Time (AEST)
  • the client’s surname, loan amount and loan purpose

Never share your password. Keep tax file numbers and identity documents out of emails about a missing file.

Application, Technical and BDM Help

Use NAB’s service levels for processing updates and your BDM for questions about a client’s application or scenario. For a platform fault, use the portal’s Contact Us section if you can access it, or ask your BDM to identify the support team.

As at October 2026, NAB’s public pages identify the contacts and resources below.

NAB Home Loan Processing and Approval Time

NAB’s 2 October 2026 service levels put most new residential applications at one business day before credit assessment picks them up. Pre-assessments take four hours. NAB updates the page as its queues change and calls the times guidance only.

The page measures the wait before NAB’s first credit decision, not the time to formal approval.

Application stageCurrent service level
Pre-assessment, including company and trust4 hours
Purchases1 business day
Refinance, limit increase and variations1 business day
Home Guarantee Scheme1 business day
Approval in principle (AIP)1 business day
Company and trust credit assessment1 business day
Supporting documents1 business day

An AIP that meets NAB’s system criteria is issued the day after submission. After approval, document preparation, document verification and account opening take one business day each.

Day 0 is the day you submit, for applications in by 5pm AEST. After 5pm, Day 0 moves to the next day, and assessment begins on Day 1. The times assume you’ve attached every required supporting document.

Here’s a hypothetical example. A complete purchase application submitted at 4pm AEST on a Tuesday has Tuesday as Day 0, so assessment begins on Wednesday. Submitted at 6pm, its Day 0 moves to Wednesday and assessment begins on Thursday.

The page also shows which submission date NAB’s credit team has reached. On 2 October 2026, it was assessing applications submitted on 1 October. If NAB is working on files submitted after yours and nobody has contacted you, send your lodgement time to your BDM.

NAB says its service levels depend on each application’s complexity. For a timeframe on a particular client, it directs brokers to their BDM or Business Banker. The Home Guarantee Scheme guide covers scheme applications in more detail.

NAB Broker Home Loan Changes

As at October 2026, NAB posts broker changes in three places. Offers and processing times are public on nabbroker.com.au. Product and policy updates sit in the News and Credit policies sections after you sign in, and your BDM covers changes to a deal in progress.

For NAB’s lending rules themselves, use the NAB lender policy guide. Bulma’s Policy Advisor answers NAB policy questions with the date it last updated each policy. It alerts you when a policy you’ve asked about changes.

Before you call NAB about a stuck file, have your Broker ID, the application reference and the lodgement time ready. Ask NAB to locate the file, check your access and confirm its processing status.

Check the policy behind your next scenario

Ask Bulma a lender policy question and inspect the source behind the answer.
