Salestrekker 2.0 for Brokers: File Workflows
Using Salestrekker 2.0 for a mortgage file? Check client data, servicing inputs, policy tools and team handoffs before relying on the completed record.

Salestrekker 2.0 carries a mortgage file from client information through broker research and document preparation to a lender lodgement gateway. The broker must reconcile the figures at each handoff, because a completed client record doesn’t prove that a connected calculator or application contains the same data.
Salestrekker combines customer relationship management (CRM) with lending tools. Vow calls its CRM VOWNET, and its Vownet sign-in is hosted by Salestrekker. Aggregator-inherited workflows and user permissions can affect the screens and actions available to your team.
Start With the Client Record
Build the household correctly before using Salestrekker’s borrowing estimates. Each applicant needs their own record, with the relationship between joint applicants recorded accurately.
Salestrekker’s Client Profile guide links each income entry to a client and employer. Add employment details before entering the income. Record current addresses and the post-settlement address, then complete the client’s objectives and product requirements.
For a joint application, check which contacts belong to each expense household. Linked spouses can share copied address and dependant details, but copying data still requires a review of the household count. The March 2026 Broker Tools FAQ identifies missing household contacts and doubled dependant counts as causes of incorrect maximum borrowing results.
Keep evidence beside the figures you enter. Record each income amount with its frequency and supporting period. For existing debts, reconcile the balance or limit with repayments and the remaining term, and identify what the proposed loan will refinance.
Follow Income From Evidence to Submission
The useful check is whether the same income reaches each destination with the correct treatment. Start with the payslip or financials, follow the applicant’s income into the household, then inspect the servicing calculation and lodgement application.
For example, a fictional applicant’s annual base salary changes from $90,000 to $96,000 after a verified pay rise. The new figure in Client Profile is only the first checkpoint. A previously downloaded calculator still needs a current input check, and an existing external application needs its own update.
Compare the income type as well as the amount. Salary, overtime and business profit can occupy different fields and receive different lender treatment. A total that happens to match doesn’t prove that the components are correct.
Salestrekker’s FAQ also separates current income from proposed rental income. Income from a property the client intends to buy belongs in the proposed position and borrowing calculation. Don’t add a second current-income entry merely because that rent is absent from the current Income screen.
If maximum borrowing is zero, check household Contacts and every income frequency first. Then inspect liability repayment frequencies and expiry dates, followed by post-settlement address and dependant details. Salestrekker identifies those inputs in its FAQ as specific calculation dependencies.
Check Research and Servicing Inputs
Separate artificial intelligence (AI) policy research from the figures used in servicing and from the data sent to a lender. Each stage has a different output and needs a broker’s review before it supports the file.
Identify Which Tool Produced the Answer
Salestrekker’s May 2026 Policy AI guide describes an externally provided chat tool with a monthly per-user subscription. It is accessible from the top bar and deal view. The same guide distinguishes it from the keyword-based Home loan policy search in the Premium Library.
Cynario’s integration page confirms that Cynario powers embedded Policy AI. Salestrekker documents copying individual responses or full transcripts. Keep the research answer with the question and the client facts it addresses.
That note transfer has a different purpose from updating a servicing input or sending an application. When accepted income changes, review the policy question again using the new amount and income type. Check that the saved answer addresses the updated scenario before using it in your recommendation.
Salestrekker AI is another function: it drafts comments from de-identified application and product data. Salestrekker’s own product page requires brokers to review generated content. Read every generated comment against the documents and calculations, particularly after a client fact changes.
Reconcile the Lender Calculator
Salestrekker can pre-populate downloadable lender serviceability calculators from a deal or Quick Tools. Serviceability means the lender’s calculation of whether the borrower can meet repayments. Pre-population still leaves lender-specific steps for the broker.
Salestrekker’s Australian calculator guide gives a concrete example for ANZ, as at October 2026: self-employed company income needs manual entry. It also specifies recalculation and selections needed to expose or calculate some fields. Apply the instructions for that lender, then compare the inputs with the current file.
Treat an omitted income category differently from an old figure. An old salary needs the current amount. Company income that hasn’t transferred needs the correct calculation entered in the lender’s required fields, with the evidence behind it.
When using a downloaded calculator, retain the version used and the completed file with the assessment. Compare the selected loan, household expenses and existing commitments as well as income. For lenders using online calculators, Salestrekker’s guide says there isn’t a downloadable calculator.
Bulma can help with the policy question at this step: its Policy Advisor quotes the lender’s policy wording for income treatment. Keep that wording with the file notes. The broker still reconciles the figures used in the lender’s assessment.
Handover and Submit
Give the receiving staff member a current file and explicit responsibility for every unfinished condition. A workflow stage helps organise work, while the external application’s status shows what has happened to the lodgement.
A Fictional Joint-Application Walkthrough
Use this documentation-based example to check a team handoff. Alex and Priya are fictional joint applicants with one shared household and one dependant. Alex’s verified salary is now $96,000 a year, and Priya’s is $72,000.
They want to refinance an existing mortgage. Priya’s latest payslip has arrived, but an updated mortgage statement is still missing. Mia is the broker who owns the deal, and Jordan handles document collection.
- Set the deal type to Home Loan and add both applicants. Salestrekker’s Workflows guide says a deal without a type has Client Profile but no Broker Tools. Add Jordan as a team member who can access the deal.
- Put both applicants in the shared expense household. Check the dependant count, income frequencies and current debt against the documents. Select the preferred scenario and recommended product after completing the research and servicing review.
- Upload Priya’s new payslip and assign the file to Priya. In Salestrekker’s Files tab, Assign to identifies the client or guarantor whose document it is. Give Jordan a separate task to obtain the mortgage statement, with a due date and the missing requirement in its comments.
- Have Jordan open the complete Files and Tasks tabs. Confirm that the payslip is accessible and the statement task is unresolved. Salestrekker’s Compliance Comments and Documents guide gives each client a separate document and signature confirmation, so review both applicants’ records.
- Have Mia approve the completed file for lodgement after Jordan supplies the statement. Check the current income against the lender calculator, generated documents and application fields. Record who reviewed the updated evidence and which conditions still need lender assessment.
This distinguishes document ownership from work ownership. Priya is the applicant assigned to the payslip. Jordan owns the collection task, and Mia owns the deal and the decision to proceed.
Check the External Application
Salestrekker’s Lodgement guide lists ApplyOnline, Loanapp and Loanworks for home-loan deals. The available gateway depends on the lender and selected product. Gateway accreditation must be configured, and the preferred scenario and recommended product must be set.
The documented sequence starts the gateway transfer, then displays application details. Open Application takes you to the external system for further edits or submission. Update Application refreshes external details after changes in Salestrekker.
For Alex and Priya, inspect the external application after the final document and income updates. It must contain both applicants and the current financial inputs. Match the supporting documents to that application before completing submission through the appropriate gateway.
Keep the application reference and actual submission status in the file. Salestrekker records external backchannel messages in Notes and Activity. Review those messages and allocate follow-up conditions to a staff member instead of treating a moved workflow card as lender acceptance.
If the gateway is absent, check accreditation and the preferred product before repeating a transfer. If a transfer fails, use the activity log to identify the error and correct the missing field or document. Resolve an unexplained mismatch before another staff member relies on the file.
For wider platform choices, start with the broker platform guide. Compare the roles in mortgage broker CRM software and loan origination software. Keep this handoff standard whichever system you use: the receiving person can identify the current evidence, remaining conditions and external application status without rebuilding the file history.
